Function
As an IoT Software Engineer at Renson, you play a key role in realizing the company’s mission: "Creating Healthy Spaces." You will be part of a small, dedicated team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting IoT and cloud-based software solutions. The data collected from Renson’s high-tech products serves as the foundation for new, innovative software solutions. Together with your team, you will take the lead in capturing product ideas and requirements, assessing feasibility, designing solution architectures, and translating them into cloud-based software applications.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of innovation, working in a highly skilled and motivated team.
Your responsibilities include:
- Analyzing system requirements to design technical solutions that meet specifications. This often involves conducting research on new cloud and IoT technologies that can add value to Renson.
- Developing, expanding, and optimizing the IoT infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Writing code in Python (or C#) for both edge devices and cloud applications.
- Contributing to the development of integrated Smart Living concepts and building APIs for internal frontend applications and third-party integrations.
- Working within a CI/CD-first approach, leveraging PaaS services on the Microsoft Azure platform to ensure scalable and efficient solutions.
- Providing technical support and advice to colleagues when needed.

Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming with Python and/or C#.
- Experience with cloud-based software solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience in IoT (Internet of Things) or home automation is a plus.
- Fluent in English – knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
